MalLabel Music is bringing back the West Coast fiya this week with one of our favorite psychedelic beat chefs, SuDs.
SuDs is not one to mess around when it comes to breaking the archetypes of classification, taking the bass on a hijacked joyride all over town. Often you’ll find him pushing the envelope well past the limit only to record the resulting rips and tears and filtering the sound back into his trappy delicious creations. His hard working intent to innovate has brought him to his second EP release on MalLabel this year; this one being stacked with remixes and bonus tracks that nearly match the Ep itself. We hope you’ve got a pretty major appetite, because Black Holes, the newest addition to his arsenal sure seems to.
Black Holes has bass in your face all over the place with each track taking you on a continued excursion beyond known reality as could be expected from any SuDs release. Each track is however an experience of it’s own bringing a multitude of distinct flavors into the mix including ‘Liquid Drops’ featuring Da Leke which takes us on his psychonautical, spiritual, lyrical vision with an added instrumental version. Accompanying this already deep release are also three remixes. The first two take the reigns of ‘The Most Annoying Sound in the World’ as Partywave drops some 808 bass on it with an atmospheric Chill Trap Vibe while Wu Wei creates a bass heavy Glitch-Hop beast out of it. Aplsoz takes a crack at the title track with a helluva lot more bass and a little bit of Hood. So much is buried deep within so cross the point of no return and discover what’s on the other side.
